PSC commissioner condemns alleged police extortion on South-East roads
Adelani Adepegba, Abuja
The Commissioner representing the South-East geopolitical zone and the Organised Private Sector in the Police Service Commission, Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, has said he is working to ensure that the seeming marginalisation of the Igbos in the top echelon of the force was redressed in the interest of equity and justice.
Nnamani, who was recently sworn-in by the President, Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), noted that deliberate efforts must be made to carry the Igbos along to rise and occupy high positions of relevance in the Nigeria Police Force.
The commissioner in a statement on Sunday, also decried the extortion by policemen on the highways in the South-East.
