Our CorrespondentKohima, Oct. 6 (EMN): A breakthrough to the ad hoc teachers’ service regularisation issue might just be around the corner as members of the All Nagaland Ad hoc Teachers’ Group (ANATG) 2015 batch are “expecting something fruitful” to happen soon. The ad hoc teachers have been staging a peaceful sit-in since September 26 and a week of hunger strike until Thursday, in the state capital against non-regularisation of their services. Their last meeting with the commissioner and secretary of School Education proved futile as the members unanimously rejected the former’s offer of setting up a High Powered Committee to take up the matter. Subsequently, the house wrote to the chief minister and sought his intervention to solve the issue. Yet, the indifferent attitude of the government compelled more members to join the hunger strike on Wednesday.
