A protester has been convicted of issuing threats of violence against two security guards at a Trans Mountain pipeline pump house in Blue River.
Nicole Manuel and her sister, Amanda Soper, also known as Kanahus Manuel, were charged following an incident at the pump house on Sept. 30, 2019. They were part of a group that showed up to protest the pipeline expansion, with Nicole Manuel approaching security guard Gina Bowie and asking her if this “faggot” was her backup, referring to her colleague, Darren Bonang.
