Protest from home for ICUs, ventilators evokes huge response in Dakshina Kannada | Mangaluru News

MANGALURU: Shortage of ICUs and ventilators and alleged fleecing of Covid-19 patients in private hospitals got people of Dakshina Kannada to hold a novel way of dissent – Protest From Home (PFH).
Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) gave a call for people to raise their voice from home, opposing overcharging for treatment of Covid patients in private hospitals and against shortage of ICUs and ventilators in hospitals. Within two days after the protest was announced on Saturday, hundreds of people from the coastal district responded to the call by holding PFH and sharing pictures of them holding placards in front of their houses on social media.
