I admit it – I am unexplainably fixated on the year 1912 – so today you get a few bits of Porcupine gossip and whatnot from that period.
Let’s start with gossip from the mining industry – or should I say speculation and comment (sounds nicer) – great whoops of joy were heard around Whitney Township when it was announced that the Three Nations Mine gave up some pretty spectacular nuggets from the 100-foot level of the operation.
