The Ventura County District Attorney's Office has filed a felony charge against Brian Hynes, co-owner of the former Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, in a case alleging grand theft.
On Wednesday, prosecutors filed one felony count of grand theft, Senior Deputy District Attorney Marc Leventhal told The Star.
On the same day, an arrest warrant was issued for Hynes, he said. Ventura County Superior Court Judge Michele Castillo signed off on the warrant, court records show.
Hynes was accused of misappropriating funds given to him by the Westlake Village Rotary Club for a festival, Leventhal said. The amount was alleged to be at least $50,000, he said.
