Proposed surfboard leg rope law could see surfers fined for riding unleashed in Byron Bay

A Byron Shire councillor is hoping to introduce a regulation that will see surfers fined up to $1,100 for not wearing a leg rope, likening the practice to being as easy as "'wearing seatbelts".
