Promising export forecasts for Ukrainian cherries and blueberries
There seem to be no real hurdles standing in the way of establishing exports of Ukrainian cherries to the Chinese market. However, the volume of premium quality cherries is quite limited in Ukraine today.
In 2018-2019, Ukrainian producers did export cherries to China, but this year’s export volumes were minimal due to the poor harvest in Ukraine, said Taras Bashtannik, President of the Ukrainian Horticulture Association.
