Prisoner advocates across the country call on DOJ nominee Kristen Clarke to address urgent pandemic conditions behind bars

Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, National Freedom Day, Prisoner rights activists and abolitionists from organizations across the country will caravan to D.C. to hand deliver a petition to the incoming head of the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division Kristen Clarke. The group will gather at 1:00 p.m. in front of the U.S. Department of Justice building, 600 E St. NW, Washington, DC, and from there travel to Clarke’s current office at the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights.
