He's had his fair share of admirers over the years, but the future King of England was determined not to rush into marriage.
Growing up Prince Williams saw his parent's relationship fall apart and knew whoever he chose as his consort had to be the right person, who knew the stakes.
When asked about his love life in previous interviews, Prince William said: "Look, I'm only 22 for God's sake. I'm too young to marry at my age. I don't want to get married until I am at least 28 or maybe 30."
