Queen Elizabth and Prince Philip visited Clydebank in 2008
Prince Philip will be fondly remembered by many Bankes with the Duke of Edinburgh and Queen Elizabeth visiting the area back over the years.
Tributes poured in to commemorate the life of the Duke after his passing on April 9, and we took a trip back down memory lane to uncover photographs from the Queen and Prince Philip's visit to Clydebank to officially open the West of Scotland Heart and Lung Centre at the Golden Jubilee National Hospitain in July 2008.
Both Prince Philip and the Queen took the time to speak to the youngsters before enjoying a tour round the facility and speaking to the many staff and patients who could not wait to meet them.
