Across the nation, 84% of high school seniors who complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) go to college immediately after graduation — compared to just 55% of seniors who do not complete the application, according to the National College Attainment Network.
FAFSA helps students get financial aid and scholarships to help pay for college. That’s why Arizona is working to
achieve a 52% FAFSA completion rate and gradually increase to 78% by 2030. Increased FAFSA completion will create more postsecondary options for Arizona students and grow the state’s workforce. The Governor’s Office, Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education, and Achieve60AZ in 2018 partnered to promote the statewide FAFSA challenge and increase the completion rate.
