The Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday dedicated his new office ahead of his resumption after surviving a cold war with his principal, Godwin Obaseki. Obaseki had accused Shaibu of orchestrating a plan to kick him out of office. The governor further said his deputy had become desperate to succeed him. Over the past few weeks, Obaseki and Shaibu had been at loggerheads over issues pertaining to the alleged impeachment plot against the deputy governor until the latter tendered apology to Obaseki.
