The domestically made satellite weighs 100. 50 kilograms and is capable of capturing images of 95 of iranian territory. This is the second foreign uh launch of iranian satellite. Last year, iran launched khayam satellite from space launching pad in kazakhstan. Iran is among the worlds top 10 countries capable of developing and launching satellites. Petersburg, miss krishna swami, welcome to the program, lets jump right in, i want to get your uh perspective on the significance of this recent soundlight launch, well um, ive been reading what western papers have been saying and they are saying that it expresses like concerns over irans ties with moscow etc, so they are definity. Ly concerned about this because they want to have space hegemony or or be one of the only people who are capable of doing this, and when other countries do this, it insights fear, but for iran what it does is that because iran is victim of so much terrorism and sabotage, it can help them monitor this and put an end to lot of these um issues where pipelines get sabotaged or. A get um blown up due to acts of terrorists, so for iran it is vital for their National Security interests and so i think that it is overall something iran needs um in order to confront the real threats to their nation and what can you tell us about the uh enhanced uh cooperation in the uh Aerospace Industry between um tehran and moscow lot uh i mean um for example uh last year iran sent um not just iran sent drones and which was used in ukraine and those drones that were used in of ukraine helped again iran um be able to penetrate us shields um us shields that were guarding us airbase illegal us airbases in iraq in syria so i think this is preparing uh this is like preparing for a multipolar world, because it makes it harder and harder for the us to have hegemony in the middle east and through its illegal occupation and of. And which is designed and constructed, as i mentioned by the young scientists and iranian scientists and this launch was announced uh by irans communication minister zarapur yesterday uh noting that uh this actually launch is in order to develop International Interactions and to develop the uh International Relations between the two countries between iran and uh russia and that this launch is um happening uh uh despite the unilateral western sanctions and we know that this is not actually the first time that iran uh has done such thing and has launched a satellite uh more than 11 times this uh actually uh proud moment uh has happened and last month what i can tell about uh the history of these kind of activities that iran has last month iran successfully put into orbit three homegrown satellites uh uh with a minimum altitude of 450 kilometers and maximum of 1,100 kilometers above the earths uh surface and uh as i can see uh people are still here and watching this uh proud moment and uh were all proud in iran candidates vying for seats and parlament and the assembly of experts have wrapped up their election campaigns, millions of iranians will be heading to the polls on friday to cast their ballots for 290 Member Parliament and an 88 Seat Assembly of experts.
