10 30 am at erans capital tron, this is press tv news, thanks for joining us. Israel says it will step up airs on gaza ahead of what it calls the next stages of the war. We will continue to attack the area of gaza city and even more. And that and will step up the attacks, we are continuing to prepare for the next stages of the war, the israeli army said the regime is trying to create optimal conditions for a ground invasion, once again called on the people in gaza to head south for personal safety. This is various reports indicate that israel air strikes have targeted refugees gatherings in the south of the ghaza strip as well. Palestinian Officials Say that at least 110 people have been killed in overnight israeli stricked. Gazas Health Ministry says nearly 4400 palestinians have been killed and more than 13,500 have been injured. Over 70 of the victims are children, women and the elderly. First aid convoy into the gaza strip since the ongoing Bombing Campaign started on october 7. Israel has ever since imposed the total siege on the strip, cutting food, of water, electricity and fuel supplies to the densely populated area. Says it intended to release two women captives held in the gaza strip, but israel has declined to receive them. Amass military wing, them brigades says that they informed officials of the plan on friday. The Group Spokesman abu obeeda said the move was based on humanitarian grounds, and that hamas did not demand any compensation. He says the group is still ready to release the captives using the same procedures like the two american women who were released on friday. Group said that is considering the release of other captured foreigners. Hams officials earlier said nearly 200 people were taken captive during operation iwasa flood on october 7th. These include highranking Israeli Military officials. Hamas has suggested the captives could be swapped for 60 palestinians held in israeli prisons. A group of un agencies has warned about the humanitarian situation of the besieged gaza strep, calling it catastrophic. The five agencies, namely the world health organisation. The world food program, the development agency, and the Population Fund called for action to tackle the desperate humanitarian situation in gaza. They said over 1. 6 million gazans are in dire need of aid. The agencies warned that children, pregnant women, and the elderly remain the most vulnerable. Children make up to half of gazas population. This comes as the Israeli Regime says that it would intensify its strikes on gaza. Kariria goda is with the federation of iraqi trade unions, she tells us about the need for solidarity with palestinians and israels onslot on gaza and the normalization deals between some arab states and the regime. Right now the people of gazza and the children of ghazza are dying and the world is quiet, even some of the arab countries that pretend to be concerned for the future of jerusalem and its liberation. Now normalizing with israel, this thing, the normalization, which is humiliating and frightening, because the people of palestine is in need of total solidarity and and support and a firm stand of every arab and all free people of the world. We are embroiled with him in the struggle, even though we are from far off land geographically. We continue our struggle with him in order to prepare and mobilize the Arab Public Opinion and international Public Opinion in order to assist and and support and stand firmly. With the struggle of the Palestinian People, and now i believe that the iraqi people will spare nothing, will not hold back to be with their Palestinian People in solidarity, and in fact some youth have all the determination. To go to palestine in order to help their people in gaza. Were going to cross on over to southern lebanon and talk to mik saleh who joins us from there and for an analysis we have messam whos a palestinian scientist and author joining us from bethlehem. My first over to you uh tell us what you got for us uh in southern lebanon how are the tensions still high there . Sound of shelling or has bella operations for, but we do have constant flying of israeli survey over all of South Lebanon, even areas that are not near the border, you have the uh the mk surveillance plane basically flying and hovering the whole time, in addition to the fighter jets that you see of course, basically clearly making contrails in the sky every now and then, so basically we are still in the. Of war, although there is a certain timeline when it comes to how the operations are being conducted, most of the operations are being conducted by hizbillah later in the afternoon, it seems, but in some cases no, they have Early Morning for example, shelling or um operations against israeli posts, those have continued of course, the israeli media has very much spoken about the fact that the israelis have lost their intelligence devices, so therefore they are in need of sending more raillings planes over South Lebanon, since they have lost all their cameras and their aspirage devices along the the border and they have stress that this is not only just for South Lebanon, this is linked to a network of Um Technology from South Lebanon to the Golan Heights to sciinites, so basically this is very significant for the israeli, some people have downplated, however when it comes to the intelligence war between hizbollah and israel, its very significant, of course we following up everything that is happening so it seems that we are going to be seeing a long protruded um war of attition from hazballah side against the israeli since the israelis have continued to shell lebanese territory and theyre coming nearer to civilian territory just yesterday we had one the houses in a village that was in the middle of the village not on the outskirts not near the border um that was shelled and completely destroyed so basically just, but it seems that the israelis have not really trespasseds red lines far, but if they do, of course, through their officials that they are ready to retaliate even harder, in addition to the fact that this is basically linked all to the war that is in gaza and everything that happen there, so thats why were following up daily basis, that they want to do launch a ground incursion and and they are ready and whatever, and all this, and we see nothing happening since the israeli officials are within themselves also at very much at odds when it comes to how theyre going to deal with this issue uh some are saying lets not uh go further to gaza since uh this will probably lead to a um intervention by love in order to assist hamas others are saying now we need to launch wars on both sides we need to start shelling and then launch war even against lebanon as those ministers are stressing, but there is of course lot of opposition from the other ministers, so basically the israelis themselves are really in a state of crisis, when it comes to how theyre going to deal with it, whether they enter gaza, its going to be a problem, if they dont enter, its also going to going to be a problem, of course has trust that they ready um to give to to release more civilian hostages that are not that they are not in need of, of course they also said before that those hostages will remain, those especially soldiers and um settlers will remain in their capacity as long as this can be used, of course, because as you know we have thousands of palestinians that are in israeli jails without sentencing, without any crimes committed, we have children and women, so that is why it is very significant for hamas to maintain uh their those those prisoners. All right, thank you for that, let me bring in my. Welcome to the program, um, there are some reports out there that are indicating that uh the us uh and israel are multing uh having a un backed government to come in place inside the ghaza strip after in their eyes if they feel they saying that after they destroy hamas or get rid of hamas from the gaza strip uh and this would be with the consent of the arab countries uh im not too sure how valid these uh this pieces of news are but uh some sources have actually uh put it out there uh if its true do you think what do you think about the approach and the logic uh or lack of it some may say of approach that us and israel are using here, well i am back administration of tel aviv and washington, once we remove those genocidal regimes that are acting against every aspect of humanity, i would not Pay Attention to the idiocy of these two governments that are dragging the world to a world war and the Global Community is rising up against those two regimes and we need to start using this term of regimes both in tel aviv and washington and yes Un Administration with the consent of the world to replace those two regimes as an interim measure before they allow democracy in those two cities then i would support that i would not take this non and claiming what because they were challenged what are you going to do after you destroy hamas, and of course they have to come up with something, but this is so ridiculous, you theyre not going to remove hamas, because what they are talking about removing the Palestinian People, and hamas is an integral part of the Palestinian People, and their actions show that they want to remove the Palestinian People, they want ethnically cleanse us. And they want to liquidate the palestinian causes and regardless of one what one whether one agrees with political ideas of hamas or fatih or the popular front for liberation palestine or any of those other factions, those are integral parts of palestine, and they will not go away as as movements, because they are part of the Palestinian People, the palestinian. People will not go away and not end and they cannot administer us with not objects and beings for god sake, enough insisting that we dont have selfdetermination, we are like any other human beings on earth, we deserve our rights in our own country and we will get these rights, whether those two regimes and what . Agree to it or dont agree to it, as i said, i think they as a regime are more liable to fall, biden certainly has the lowest Approval Rating now among americans, and he will not be reelected, so i think they are more likely to fall, even among israels, the current government get. Its about 90 disApproval Rating, so i think those regimes are more likely to fall than us falling as a Palestinian People. If we still have you mari, i like to ask you about one of the statements that you made regarding uh what uh has targeted, is marlah still with us . Yes, i am. Great, you mentioned that the hisball, i guess fighters have have targeted um uh the israeli intel uh devices or posts of which then israel that would leave israel somewhat vulnerable if im correct to understand what you said and um they would not be able to track uh anything of significance um can you repeat that and tell us if that does leave uh israel somewhat out in the cold until those equipments uh guess get replaced . Well yes definitely. Of course very difficult for the israelis to devices uh is launching continuous operations on the coast at the border and they would probably also target them if they do replace them during this time, but they have set we heard in israeli media, they said that israel now has one eye, that one eye comes from the surveillance plans, of course they would not be able to monitor or to see, for example if we have more infiltrators whether from hazballah or palestinian uh resistance. That is why we see more the basic theres any movement would not sorry were just getting uh bad connection with you here uh the way that the us has approached this uh scenario is very vague if we were to go again by the news sources some are saying that out in public uh as we have seen the unwavering support by israel as displayed by the us President Joe Biden in terms of uh giving israel a free hand to do what it wants, but it is said that behind the scenes uh the us wants israel to play a more cautious role. And one of the statements uh that was made by the us is that dont take our approach to 9 11 uh and dont dont uh act out of uh passion or spont spontaneity what do you make of the us role does it want israel to be restrained does it want israel not to go into the ghaza strip in terms of this uh im going to say socalled ground evasion that weve been hearing now for quite some time mean i think the theres a lie that somehow. Israel runs its own affairs and can defend itself, and as long as we give them some money, cash and weapons that they can quote and quote act alone to to defend themselves so to speak, as the logic of the us goes, this has been shattered in the last two weeks, very clearly and very decisively, israel is not an independent country, israel is. The protectorate of the United States and the United States is not only backing israel, the United States is basically running the war, the even the us put the picture of by the greeting American Forces in israel, and then they promptly deleted it because they thought this psychologically adds to the to the vision that now is very clear among. Even israeli elites that they cannot do anything by themselves, they are basically dependent on the us, the us is trying to walk the type trope to restore israely psychological edge that they are an army that can depend on itself and can be invisible and indestructible and at the same time so that this not true, they have to also say some things to make sure that you behind the scenes help israel, like bringing carriers, putting some soldiers, adding more air defenses to israel, intercepting missiles in the mediterrean sas happened with the us navy thats now protecting israel, so what im saying is the us is really running the show here. They are running the war, but they dont want to appear to run the war, they want to somehow magically restore this idea that israel has its own army and its own leaders who decide whatever they want to decide, yes sometimes theres contradictory messages, but its precisely because of that, because of that psychological damage that was done to the israeli public knowing that israel cannot defend is cannot in defend from even a small group under in made rockets and and paragliders and a couple of bulldozers taking down fences, so i think this is the dilemma that both israeli leaders and american leaders have have put themselves in, on the one hand they want to show that. Israel can be sustained in the middle east its own pup, which is true, and on the other hand, they want to support israel and be partners in with israel. Okay, we do have you now, you want to continue where you left off . Yes, well, im not sure which part you heard, but were basically we were talking about how significant it was for hazballah to basically shoot down, all espionage activity, all their devices. Uh technological devices, cameras, as you know they have very sophisticated devices all along the warder and so therefore that lets them keep eyes on lebanon, and now with this shut down, um, this is considered uh by the israelis, thats very significant, we heard from the israely media say and calling the israelis being now with one eye, in light of this war and this fact this confrontation, they would need more than that, and this is why they need more surveillance planes over uh to hover over lebanon or to get more intelligence, this is significant since they would not be able to basically spot more infiltrators or fighters either from hizballah or hamas or Islamic Jihad that are in lebanon attempting to launch uh resistance operations from lebanon into their posts and so therefore we are seeing that they are sending more surveillance planes, they are launching um more flare bombs at night in order to try to see if they can target anything, but even in the intelligence. Were even back in 2006 when hizbullah perhaps did not take down their aspinage or um or their activities or the devices or cameras and was still less strong than they are right now, and they in the intelligence war, they could not even defeat hezballah even with that, and although we did half wave um of espionage activity in lebanon with agents, putting devices here and there, they basically many of those cells were dismantled by the lebanese armys intelligence and hazballahs intelligence, of course they cooperated together and collaborated in order to make sure that they shut down and take down all most of these um cells, but still of course there is continuous aspirage and that would be um something that would aid israel, but it doesnt seem likely to give it enough intelligence to be able to really target uh areas that are considered uh for huzballah and so for now, hazballah does have the upper hand in lebanon and some of them are even talking about the fact that they would have the upper hand when it comes to a possible hazballah attack. Or possible hizball operation that would entail that its fighters actually enter uh the northern galilei and maybe even enter um posts in the shabah and the occupied shabah farms and the fara hills, but for now hizbullah is being uh basically keeping to the rules of engagement that they have enforced upon the israelis and basically targeting their posts, targeting their tanks, targeting Armored Vehicles and even infantry, yesterday we have for the first time basically a whole infantry that was targeted by hazballah using guided missiles uh now we can also hear some of the uh helicopter, its not clear whether this is for the unifill or for the israeli army, but we we are constantly hearing surveillance planes over our head here in South Lebanon. All right, the final question i have here, um, you have uh, how israel is trying to, it seems like. Project power by for example uh firing onto uh syria from what we understand um and uh trying to deal with hizbollah and the resistance fighters in southern lebanon uh but uh you know ive been asking this and im going to continue with uh this question as to how the real Sleeping Giant here is whats happening in the occupied territories where even after the war is over if and when that happens that it has a uprising that is dealing with, i think its very significant that israel carried out a uh air strike inside the janine refugee camp. Um, thats not something that uh is part of the way that israel carries out its operations. Um, is that is, do you agree . Mean, is that first of all, what do you think about the fact that it did that, and how do you, how do you for see whats going on inside the occupied territories at this point and from here on, um, especially after, and when that war is uh going to be over . The israeli defensemen, he gave a warning to both hezballah and to the Palestinian Authority in the west bank saying, stop what you are doing, and he said like president baiden said, dont get involved, um, and and his warning is a bit chilling, because he said, for example, to hezballah, what, what happened in gaza city . You dont want what happened there to happen to uh to lebanon, in other words, hes threatening genocide in lebanon, if hizballah enters and they knock if you want bombing a mosk in jeneen is the message to the palestinians in the west bank that also do not enter into the free. Even though its already too late, the palestinians in the west bank are rising up against the occupation, against the land, converscation etc. And up pricing is on the horizon, so its its a message for the same idea that we have the super power of air power, and and we are not challenged that by lets say russian air power or defense. Of assam, eight defenses from syria or anything else, we we can we can do lot of damage civilian areas, because they know they cannot take out the resistance, so again their task is to destroy civilians, hope this will deter you know interest of people in human rights and freedom, all right, thank you very much for that, we do appreciate it, sorry spoke to us from southern lebanon of course. Respondent with the detailed uh look as to the ongoings there, one which was very significant, thank you for that mariam and palestinian a scientist and author from bethlam, thank you. Moving on with the news, pro palestine rallies have been held across the world to demand an end to the bloodched in gaza, amid the regimes brutal aggression against the besieg territory. Israel, in spain, tens of thousands marched to the streets of barcelona to call forest. Stop to the israeli carnage, they wave palestinian flags and a show of solidarity with the oppressed people of palestine. Similar protests were also held in the german capital berlin. In france, thousands of people to fight a ban on propalestinian rallies in lyon and called for seasfire in gaza. Protesters called french president emmanuel mcronon a or complicit in israeli crimes. Propalestinian rallies were also held in the us capital washington in front of congress, elsewhere in. Asia, iraqi protesters from various parts of the country gathered a Border Crossing near the jordanian border. The influential cartadr had called for supporters to rally in locations as close to israel as possible. Okay, live from the ghaza strip, we can see that some area there has been hit, were just. Coming in where the smoke is uh rising, we dont know if its one or more um targets that have been hit in this area, but its a continuation of the bombardment that has taken place, we have reported that over 100 palestinians have been killed um as a result of the israeli carnage thats taking place in the past 24 hours, adding to the uh death doll that uh at this point just continues to rise where based on what we have nearly 4,400 palestinians have been killed, that includes 1,756 children, so the israeli attacks continue, the worldwide rage against uh israel um is being seen across the world of which you just saw some uh that occurred in spain, for example, whether thats going to make a difference or not, a minimum is going to bring about awareness of as to whats happening and make it very uncomfortable for any leader of. Any country that supports israel, and thats mainly directed at western leaders, but there are others who also support israel and what what its doing, um, but here we have the live image from the gaza strip, location that has been hit there, and with that we come to an end for this additional world news, coming up next is a recap of the top stories, lets bye for now. الحال حالنا كحال المواطنين هنا نحن نبكي ولكن نبكي على الخذلان وليس على ما يفعل ال الاحتلال الاحتلال نعرف ان هذا هو ديدنه وهذا هو فعله منذ عقود من الزمن ولكن نبكي على خذلان من حولنا قبل قليل ام هنا اتت وصرخت صرخت امام كل عدسات الاعلام تسال اين العرب اعتقد هذا سؤال تجاوزناه منذ اليوم الاول ولكن لازال لدينا امل هنا لازال لدينا امل في الشعوب العربيه في الشعوب الاسلاميه ان تح israel says that it will intensify its indiscriminate bombing of the beside ghaza strip after killing thousands of palestinian women and children in the past two weeks.
