Around here, but it is very, very bad situation, one of the worst that ive seen between israel and gaza. All right, fox News Reporter there, our correspondents ash joins us now, weve made a connection with them from gaza city, ashref, tell us what is going on there, we unfortunately hear that upwards of 100 palestinians or 200 palestinians, i should say, have been killed, what do you have in terms of those numbers . Well, the 200 is the last number. Number released by the Palestinian Ministry of health about an hour and a half ago, but i believe the number has risen much higher, were still waiting for the for the new update from the ministry of health, at that time also they release that over 1600 uh palestinians were also injured as israel uh carried out dozens of air strikes against uh the gaza strip, including uh. Attacks on a hospital in the in northern gaza, few residential buildings in gaza city and also number of hamas Security Installations uh throughout uh the gaza strip. This is one of the strangest day of my life personally what happened this morning around 6 15 local time 3 15 gmt when thousands of rockets uh were fired. Uh towards the occupied territory towards the Israeli Regime, apparently the the the the massive rocket fire was used by palestinia resistance groups, hamass military wing qassam brigades to uh to break into uh the of security fence in the east of uh of of the ghaza strip and uh liberate palestinian areas that were occupied more than seven decades ago by uh by the uh Israeli Regime uh right now the Israeli Military is clashing with the palestinian fighters within the areas that were uh infiltrated by the Palestinian Resistance groups uh this morning uh israel announced that uh at least 100 israels were killed and hundreds more we injured with among them at least 80 in a critical condition. Palestinian resistance groups have of captured dozens of Israeli Soldiers and settlers and brought them into the gaza strip and also they brought the uh the corpses of of of dead Israeli Soldiers and brought them back into the gaza strip, the hamas resistance groups uh announced that uh this is a. Chance for the Palestinian People to uh released to release all palestinian prisoners from uh israeli jails, there is more than 500 palestinians inside israeli jails including women and children, among them over 1200, more than 1100 uh administrative detenees. Now lets not forget that back in 2011, the Hamas Movement managed to release. Some 1100 palestinian prisoners and exchange for galad shalit, one israeli soldier, so you can imagine the the situation now with dozens or maybe scores of Israeli Soldiers and settlers uh being kipped in gaza, how how how strong this will be for the Palestinian Resistance as a barking chip to release those uh palestinian prisoners in israeli jails. Youve talked to anyone today, they tell you its a historic day, what happened today is a historic day in the history of the Palestinian People, for the first time theyve managed to uh liberate. Some of their land, the land of their ancestor that was uh occupied by Israeli Forces in 1948 upon the creation of the Israeli Regime, cover in gaza, there are more than two million inhabitants, around 1. 3 million of them are Palestinian Refugees, and as well as children and children of Palestinian Refugees who were expelled and dispossessed by uh zionist gangs back and 1948 and now uh they feel that they have achieved a great thing today by uh penetrating that uh that barrier in the east of of the gaza strip uh at least claim some their land that was captured more than seven decades ago fight face to face with Israeli Soldiers and also kill and some of them became marters today. As they were fighting Israeli Soldiers, its worth mentioning that out of the 200 palestinians who were killed today, at least 40 of them or 50 of them are some of those resistance fighters who who were killed while fighting the Israeli Forces during the the attack that happened uh earlier this this morning now we have a situation in gaza, especially with the hospitals, you have 200 uh dead, over 1600 uh injured, and its its almost impossible for for the ghaza hospital hospitals to deal with with the large number of of injuries, and its its very hard for the morgs also to deal with the large number of of fatalities, especially the gaza has been under attacked and uh hermetic israeli blocked since 2007 and throughout the 16 years israel made sure to deprive the gas strip of the necessary uh health supply, necessary medical equipment to treat patients, so on normal days gaza hospitals suffer from lack of of medicines and hospital supplies, you can imagine the situation now with with the large number of injuries uh and the fatality is cover. Yeah, i cant imagine, i mean uh, really uh, its its terrible that that people who are injured uh may lose their lives because uh of the siege that took place, and of course not having the proper equipment to uh uh be treated. Ash theres so many questions that i have for you, first of all i like to find out uh what this deal is in terms of the people or israelis that have been uh now captured, if he can give us first of all number in terms of uh how many is really soldiers if he can. Uh versus uh the others and uh they theyre from what we understand if theyre captured theyre probably brought in brought into the gaza strip if im correct to say that and uh whether were going to see anything later on regarding uh announcements officially coming from hamas or not how how do things stand in that regard . Well the Israeli Regime said earlier that at least 35 israels are missing in the areas. Around the gaz strip, but hamas, not official numbers here, the media releases, theyre saying at least 50 uh israelis uh were captured, but ive seen images and videos on social media, i can tell you the number is much is much higher, they uh, sorry, this is the building behind me, not far from my house, called the the. Tower uh was hit right now, its about 400 meters or 400 yards away from where were standing uh, i believe this is not the last hit on that building, i believe there is possibly, there is a possibility of more air strikes hitting that building, so uh uh, this was very close to home, a close call, i think, and the we hope no one was in that building, although earlier we saw people uh leaving the building, apparently theyve learned that it could be hit and and lot of people were uh displaced on the in the streets around that tower, its about 14 story resident. Tower, this is not the first time to be hit, back on august 2022, Senior Commander from the islamic jihad, was having lunch with his family. And friends and and that building, i dont know if if the camera can show, but the the lower floors are still damaged from that from that uh from that attack back in in august uh 2022 uh, no one in gaza is safe, this is uh one of the uh the uh the the residential residential areas in gaza, this is the. The like the the classy neighborhood of gaza what were looking at, this building uh is close to all ministries, close to to banks, close to the uh to the commercial sector in gaza city, this is like this is the first strike in the heart of gaza city itself, it this first earth strike reminded me of of the attack ashruok. Power that housed our Building Back in in may of 2021, its not far from where were standing, that building was completely destroyed, it is a possibility that they might destroy this building and and if the Israeli Regime uh bomb bombs it, lot of buildings around the around it will be uh will be damaged as well, so uh were were watching and uh crossing our fingers and hope hopefully uh no one was injured from uh this air strike yeah it remains to be seen what happens uh in the in the in the coming minutes or or hours coming that that was a big uh that was a big explosion mean it was a strike that we didnt see but the. The the the sound was pretty big, i mean uh, it doesnt look like, i mean based on, believe me, this is, go ahead, covid, this is not a big one, this is just, i believe this is an initial attack on the building, the if if they if the israel regime decides to take that building down, uh, we will be, we probably get some shrapnel from where were standing right now, uh, because uh, this is uh, this is very close to to where were standing, this is the reason i i put the helmet on uh for fear that they might hit it again and uh as i said that first rocket that you heard or maybe saw the explosion the top of the building uh usually they its an initial bombing maybe uh some kind of of war. But uh more more more explosions will will likely come after it, they theyve done it dozens of time, the is regime done it dozen dozens of times to buildings in gaza since 2008, do do you get a feeling that theyre just getting warmed up that theyre going to continue uh with uh more severe retaliatory, not retaliatory, but more severe strikes on the gaza strip and its just really. Well heard the speech today from uh israeli Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu following his security Cabinet Meeting and he said that he will make the palestinians pay heavy price for for the for the rockets and attacks that took place uh this morning but all i can tell you is no matter what happens the palestinians have achieved a major victory today against the israel regime, probably the first victory against the Israeli Regime since the the the october 6th war of 1973 when Egyptian Forces defeated defeated the Israeli Military and for for any palestinian you talk to, they tell you they feel victorious, they feel victorious for what happened today, no matter what happens next, they feel that they dealt the Israeli Regime heavy blow that they never they will never recover from it, just. I i think we are still have hasnt seen the magnitude of. The israeli retaliation, maybe maybe israel is waiting for two reasons in my opinion, one israel is still focusing right now to at least retain the areas from the palestinian fighters which have been taken by the palestinian fighters this this morning inside israel and second as you very much know that there are a number of israelis who are hostages inside gaza, roughly we are talking about f 50 israeli hostages and maybe thats why the israeli bombardment of the gaza is not heavy as we had seen in the past, it might get worse during the night, during the next days, but in in in in a place like gaza, there is nothing much to to to attack or to target more than palestinian civilian areas and residential areas, at the end of the day were talking about an area which is no more than 360 uh square kilometers with with more than 2 million people, whenever there is escalation with israel, the resistance had its own way of avoiding israeli retaliation and our weakest point here in gaza is the civilian population and civilian infrastructure which is the target of israeli retaliation or. Yeah, some um reactions are coming through, we talked about yemen, we also look at how many rockies have actually uh um marked this day to be huge victory for palestinians of which uh is escalated into actually um celebratory moves there on the streets, looking at first of all do we have ashref shanat still with us, ashref, are you with us . Seeing the plums of smoke that are that are rising from that building, i believe that is that building, because while i was speaking, i saw from the corner of my eye, what occurred there, whether there are people inside that building, and have been killed as a result, we dont know that as of yet, but i believe that that is that building which is very close to work where ashshan is, i wish we had contact with ashraf in order to find out if that is the building or not, and as to whats happened. There as uh were seeing that building uh to have been destroyed completely, maybe other buildings to have uh been impacted by this destruction and the debri, im sure that is the case, but the huge plum of smoke that you see there is a result of that, why that building was targeted, not too sure, but maybe thats a sign of things to come, our guest abusada indicating that uh israel may be taking a more cautious route when it comes to his offensive.
