President Ndayishimiye Choking On EU Sanctions

President Evariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi is spending sleepless nights as he pieces together a mechanism of undoing the bad image and damage caused by his predecessor Pierre Nkurunziza.
One of the tough things on his to-do list is fixing relations with Burundi’s immediate neighbours especially Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo.
Another challenge has been how to get Burundi off the UN Security Council Agenda and also negotiating for lifting of the disturbing sanctions imposed on Burundi by European Union.
Gen. Ndayishimiye who was predominantly engrossed in security assignments under his former boss, has to rush many things and also transform himself into an all-round leader bearing in mind that he is being observed from home and outside. He will thus not want to make mistakes or even take chances.
