Quebec juice maker Lassonde Industries is losing its leader after 34 years. President and Chief Operating Officer Jean Gattuso is stepping down Sept. 30, the company announced on Monday. A successor will be named March 26 when the company announces its quarterly earnings.
In a statement, the company quoted Gattuso as saying “it is time for me to take on new challenges that will benefit Canadians and to spend time with my family.”

Gattuso joined the company as head of marketing at A. Lassonde Inc. in 1987, and took over Lassonde Industries in 2012 after helping it become a global company which now employs 2,700 people and operates 17 factories in Canada and the United States, with $1.9 billion in annual sales.
