Moa Kids Community Early Learning Centre is one of eleven recipients of an ‘ECE Hero’ award, nominated by the community and acknowledging heroism over the last year.
Working with youngsters can be challenging at the best of times but staff at a Christchurch preschool have been praised for their handling of the Covid-19 lockdown and the support they provided after the March 15 terror attack and a recent wildfire.
Moa Kids Community Preschool in Redcliffs was one of 11 early childhood education centres (ECEs) to be recognised in the ‘ECE Hero’ awards.
Backed by teaching union NZEI Te Riu Roa, the recipients were announced on Sunday – Children’s Day – , with judges saying Moa Kids was a “much deserved” winner.
