The damage caused by a power station explosion that sparked chaos across Queensland could take years and millions of dollars to repair.
Almost half a million of homes and businesses were plunged into darkness for several hours on Tuesday after the blast and subsequent fire at the Callide power station near Biloela in Central Queensland.
All plant workers were evacuated and no one was hurt.
An investigation has been launched, amid speculation a hydrogen leak may have caused the mechanical failure of a turbine or generator.
