Many of the restaurants in Power Plant Live! are reopening this week as the entertainment venue gets ready to provide even more options for customers. After more than a year, there are signs of life at Power Plant Live! Chris Furst, the event director for the Cornish Co., said the downtown entertainment venue is now in the first phase of reopening."Obviously, with city restrictions, it just makes the most sense to only open certain things at certain times. So for now, restaurants (are opening)," Furst said. "So we have Lenny Lodge and Beer Garden, Luckie's Tavern, Underground Pizza Co. all reopened."When customers visit, they'll find plenty of seating spread out over 25,000 square feet of outdoor space. There are picnic tables with QR codes to access touchless menus and giant outdoor games."We have hand-sanitizer stations around all the games. We have giant Jenga," Furst said.New tenants are getting ready to open, including an axe-throwing venue."(It's a) huge first step, and we're hoping we see the light at the end of the tunnel. We're gradually going to bring back socially-distanced events. We start with that on April 17, next Saturday, with our first drag brunch of the season," Furst said. And with so much going on, Power Plant Live! is hiring. Click here to see available jobs."We have a great need for security staff, servers, bussers, front of house, hosts, you name it," Furst said. "We're itching to give people things to do. We can't wait to bring our guests back and just entertain them. That's our job, to entertain them."
