Potempa: Towle Theater chili cook-off inspires creative recipe ingredients

The staff and creative team at Towle Theater in Hammond have picked the perfect calendar opportunity to partner with 18th Street Brewery to host the 3rd Annual Taste of the Towle Chili Cook-Off benefiting the Towle Youth Theater Ensemble. The event is from 4-7 p.m. Nov. 6 at 18th Street Brewery in Hammond and tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance by calling 219-937-8780 or visit www.towletheater.org. The ticket price includes more than 15 samples of chili and the chance for one vote to select your favorite chili among the contestant tasting tables. Additional votes are available for $1 each, encouraging a “vote early and often” mentality. A cash bar will also be available.
