MINNEAPOLIS – The U-S Postal Service plans to open a new Lake Street Post Office in Minneapolis where the old one was burned down during the riots last May.
Officials say it will be ready in the spring of 2022 and will include “full-service retail and house local delivery service to the Lake Street community.”
The Minnehaha Post Office in south Minneapolis was also destroyed in the civil unrest following the death of George Floyd. The Postal Service is in the process of rebuilding that location.
