Nova Scotia Public Health has issued a correction regarding potential COVID-19 exposure at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre on April 18.
The health authority says the risk to the general public was in fact low, so anyone who was there between noon and six on April 18 does not have to self-isolate as reported earlier, unless they are showing symptoms of the respiratory illness.
They say anyone who was at the Civic Centre should still get tested as soon as possible.
Anyone exposed to the coronavirus at the Civic Centre may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 2.
