Portion of Gillette to be closed for road construction in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Gillette Street will be closed from Rose to George streets starting April 5, according to the La Crosse Engineering Department.
The road will be closed for utility work, paving and lighting work in conjunction with the state of Wisconsin project in the same area.
During construction, the intersections at Kane Street, Charles Street, Liberty Street, Avon Street and Caledonia Street will be impassible.
The closure is expected to last through Aug. 27.
A signed detour will be posted during the closure, routing traffic to Clinton Street.
