Port Huron Schools to continue 100% virtual for all students

Port Huron Schools will continue 100% remote learning for all students pre-kindergarten through 12th grade for at least the next week after the district’s board of education signed off on the plan Monday.
Superintendent Jamie Cain notified families in a letter Tuesday that the district would continue with the virtual learning plan. The decision is the latest in a series of several in 2021 as COVID-19 cases rose in the district and across St. Clair County.
“Daily Zoom classes will continue and all coursework will be posted in Schoology,” Cain wrote. “Students in our virtual program will continue in their regular manner. The board of education will re-evaluate this decision during a special meeting next week.”
