Calum McKinnon, 17, of the Lord Selkirk Robert Fraser Memorial Pipe Band plays the bagpipes as the St. Andrew Society of Winnipeg kicked off its Pop-up-Piper performance series to mark Terry Fox Day beside a bust of Terry Fox, located along the Winnipeg Real Estate Board Citizens' Hall of Fame near the Assiniboine Park Conservancy Outdoor Gardens at The Leaf on Terry Fox Day Monday, Aug. 2, 2021. After playing beside the bust of Terry Fox, he walked towards the Leaf, where he played the pipes for all in attendance. The Pop-up-Piper kicks off its series of August and September mini-concerts with the performance. Future dates of Pop-up-Piper performances to be announced soon. "Terry Fox is one of Winnipeg's most famous sons, and this year marks the 40th anniversary of his passing, "said St. Andrew Society President Andrew Flook.
