Police: Woman charged with assault after pouring kerosene on someone

A Campbellsville woman was arrested in West Point after she reportedly poured kerosene from a pump onto a woman at a gas station.
April Lynn Ponder, 42, is being held in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond in the Hardin County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear July 23 in Hardin District Court.
According to an arrest citation, Ponder was seen and heard Wednesday night inside a gas station breaking items and swearing at people.
When Kentucky State Police arrived, Ponder was found in a field near a Valero station and had a “very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath,” according to the citation. She also had slurred speech, the document said.
