Police: West Des Moines day care employee charged after child suffered fractured skull

A West Des Moines day care employee was charged last week with endangering a child for allegedly failing to report an incident in which a child's skull was fractured, according to court documents.
Jamie Leann Kober, 36, an Altoona resident, works at Alphabet Academy, a West Des Moines day care, according to the criminal complaint.
At pickup on Jan. 27, the child's mother noticed swelling on the top of their head, according to police. She took the child to the doctor, who diagnosed a fracture in their skull.
