The Sindh government and Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) have made contradicting claims about the death of an MQM-P worker, Muhammad Aslam, who was reported killed during a clash between the police and party supporters outside the Sindh Chief Minister House in Karachi Wednesday evening. MQM-P says Aslam, who was referred to as Aslam Bhai by party leaders, died due to police violence against the protesters. Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab, however, claimed that no one died in the protest.
