MENASHA - A 22-year-old Sussex man was arrested after traveling to Menasha on Friday to meet with a person he believed to be a child.
The man, who police aren't identifying because he hasn't been formally charged, had been communicating with a girl from Menasha and thought that was who he was going to meet. Instead, police arrested him without incident, the Menasha Police Department said Monday.
Police learned the man was already a suspect out on bond for a previous child sex crime in Waukesha County and plan to recommend he be charged with second-degree sexual assault of a child and felony bail jumping.
