Police: Person charged with murder in fatal shooting of Waterbury resident

WATERBURY — A 45-year-old has been charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of a 24-year-old, according to police.
Officials have identified Waterbury resident Devante Echols as the victim of a shooting Saturday on Bronson Street. He was found “with a gunshot wound to the head” that day and pronounced dead at a hospital not long after, police said.
Kyshone Jackson has been charged with murder, unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a pistol or revolver, carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal sale or transfer of a firearm, weapons in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a pistol revolver or ammunition as well as reckless endangerment, police said in a release Monday night.
