NEW HAVEN — One New Haven resident died and another has been charged with driving under the influence after a motor vehicle accident Friday, according to police.
New Haven resident Daniel Velazquez, 42, “succumbed to his injuries” at Yale New Haven Hospital, according to a news release from police.
Officials have charged another city resident, Elliot Moore, 52, with driving under the influence, the release read.
Police were looking into a reported accident between a motorcycle and an SUV Friday night and went to “the area of Whalley Avenue and East Ramsdell Street,” according to the release.
