Shelby police are looking for a man they believe shot a woman Tuesday afternoon in Shelby.
Detectives are looking for Antwan Javante Wright, 23, on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and firing a weapon into an occupied vehicle.
According to Shelby Police, Wright shot Alyssa Duckett, 23, around 3:30 p.m. near Dollar General. Police say Duckett was driving along Fallston Road when Wright fired at her from another vehicle. She was shot twice and drove a little over a mile to the hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police still do not know what caused the outbreak of violence. Wright and Duckett have a young child together, and they live together in Cleveland County.
