Police: May River High student threatened shooting
Bluffton Today
Bluffton Police Department reports said a May River High School student who was charged last week with making threats told classmates he was going to bring a gun and “shoot up the school.”
The 15-year-old student was detained and questioned upon arriving at school at about 11:30 a.m. April 1, the reports said. They said police had interviewed students who were in a class March 31 where the threats were reportedly made.
“Each student provided nearly identical statements claiming that... (the student) made threats to bring a gun to school and to ‘shoot up the school,’” a report written by the school’s resource officer said.
