CEDAR CITY — A man was arrested Tuesday after police say he attempted to flee from law enforcement officers after trying to pawn property that was possibly stolen.
Around 1:40 p.m., a report was made that a man was attempting to pawn what was thought to be stolen property at a local pawn shop, according to the Cedar City Police Sgt. Clint Pollock in a news release. The man left driving a vehicle with a stolen license plate, Pollock said, and was located by another officer at another pawn shop.
The man refused the officer's commands and fled in a vehicle at a high rate of speed, according to the release. Police attempted to stop the vehicle but say the driver refused to stop.
