An Eversource crew is still working to fix a utility pole after a car crashed into it early Monday afternoon, officials said.
A person driving a white SUV on Maple Road — accompanied by another passenger and a dog — was distracted when the dog jumped into the driver’s lap, causing the car to swerve and hit a fence followed by the utility pole, officials said. All of the occupants were evaluated on the scene but none were transported to the hospital, according to Assistant Fire Chief Brian Meadows.
