Police K-9 help tracks down suspect who stole vehicle, led officers on 100 MPH chase

LAPEER COUNTY, MI -- A police K-9 helped tracked down a 25-year-old Sterling Heights man who stole a vehicle Sunday and led law enforcement on a 100-mile-per-hour chase across two counties.
Lapeer County 911 Dispatch was contacted by Genesee County 911 at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, April 25, to report the City of Davison Police Department was in pursuit of a freshly stolen 2018 Dodge Charger.
Dispatch reported that the vehicle was headed east on Interstate 69 at speeds of more100 MPH as it entered into Lapeer County, according to a Lapeer County Sheriff’s Department news release.
