Police ID Ridgefield woman, 94, who died after being found injured in driveway

RIDGEFIELD — Police have identified a local woman who died after an incident on High Ridge Road last week that left her with multiple injuries.
Elsie Craig died on July 15 at Danbury Hospital, according to her obituary. Police said the investigation into the circumstances of her death is ongoing, and it’s not clear yet whether a vehicle was involved.
In her obituary, the 94-year-old was remembered as a lifelong Ridgefield resident and “active” member of the community. Along with working as a volunteer patient driver, she held positions at the Ridgefield Historical Society, Keeler Tavern and the Ridgefield Chapter of Regional Hospice and Palliative Care of Western CT, according to the obituary.
