NEW CANAAN — Four firearms, secured in cases inside a locked vehicle, were stolen after one of the car’s windows was smashed sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning, police said.
A Michigan Road resident contacted police around 11 a.m. Monday to report thefts from two vehicles that were parked in the driveway.
The passenger’s side window of a vehicle was smashed, allowing access to a .22 caliber pistol, a .32 caliber pistol, and a 9 mm pistol, all of which were locked in cases, according to police. Also stolen from that vehicle were a money clip, cash, fishing rods, fishing reels and equipment, and other sporting equipment, police said.
