A man, who police say left his car running and unattended Friday afternoon at a Kenosha gas station, could face charges for shooting a girl who allegedly jumped in the car and attempted to drive away.
The girl — who police would only identify as a juvenile — was transported to Children's Hospital in Wauwatosa via Flight for Life. Her condition is unknown at this time.
The shooter, who police identified as a man in a Kenosha News report, was taken into custody, and the incident remains under investigation by Kenosha police. But the case could highlight a distinction in Wisconsin law about when the use of deadly force is and is not justified.
