Police find no explosives in RV parked in downtown Lexington on New Year's Eve

Police in Lexington have cleared the downtown area, after shutting down sections of streets due to a suspicious vehicle.
An officer noticed a large RV parked in a downtown parking lot Thursday night about 7:40 p.m. An explosives detection canine was brought in and "alerted" the vehicle, Lexington police said.
The incident happened in the area of Short and Market streets, according to the Lexington Police Department.
No explosives were found in the vehicle after the department's hazardous devices unit responded and made contact with the driver, according to the department. The Lexington scene was cleared about 10:15 pm.
