Drivers heading home to the Northern Beaches had their trip interrupted for a short detour on Friday night.
Northern Beaches police conducted a high volume operation targeting drink-driving ahead of the long weekend.
The static random breath testing and random drug testing operation took place at the carpark of Bunnings in Richmond.
All drivers were directed off Mackay Bucasia Road before the Holt Street roundabout into a lane of traffic cones.
