Police car torched by 'despicable' thugs as officer took vulnerable person to hospital
A POLICE car was deliberately set on fire in the dead of night – while the officer responsible for it looked after a vulnerable member of the public.
The incident is believed to have happened just before 1am on Wednesday, when officers were called to Knotts Lane in Colne to reports that a vehicle had been deliberately set on fire.
The car had been parked up while an officer helped escort a vulnerable member of the public to hospital.
Nobody has been arrested at this stage and the incident is being treated as arson.
