EAU CLAIRE â A babyâs skull was broken while a man strangled his wife after he became angry with her, police said.
The woman was holding the baby, who fell out of her arms while her husband strangled her, police said.
Matthew T. Roge, 38, 608 Plum St., was charged Thursday in Eau Claire County Court with felony counts of physical abuse of a child causing great bodily harm, second-degree recklessly endangering safety and strangulation and suffocation, and misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct.
A $25,000 cash bail was set for Roge, who is prohibited from having contact with his wife and children.
