Police arrest man charged with shooting father in Woonsocket

PAWTUCKET – Pawtucket police have arrested a man charged with shooting and killing his father during an altercation in Woonsocket late Wednesday night.
Alex Cote, 22, has been charged with the shooting death of his father, 43-year-old Adam Castonguay. Castonguay was found dead in his apartment at 41 Village Road in Woonsocket around 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
According to Woonsocket police, Castonguay's girlfriend called to report an altercation between the two late Wednesday night. Deputy Chief Michael Lemoine said the girlfriend contacted police from another room in the apartment while the argument was still taking place.
