The City of Airdrie’s Municipal Policing Advisory Board (MPAB) unanimously supported an ask from Airdrie RCMP to add two new members in 2022 in order to support the Domestic Violence / Mental Health Addictions Liaison Team (DV/MHALT) during a meeting on April 22.
When the liaison team pilot was launched in 2018, a rural unit was collapsed in order to utilize a sergeant and corporal to supervise and manage the team.

Police Advisory Board supports two new positions Back to video
The results of the pilot found that the team was vital in serving Airdrie Citizens. In 2019 Airdrie City Council unanimously supported making it a permanent fixture for the local RCMP.
