Police: 2 Hartford teens killed in weekend crash

HARTFORD — Detectives continue to investigate a deadly crash over the weekend that left two teens dead and critically injured a third person, according to police officials.
Around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, patrol officers responded to the area of Tower Avenue near Waverly Street for a reported serious accident, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert.
Arriving units found the a black 2005 Acura TL ran off the north side of the road and hit a tree, Boisvert said.
The driver, 17-year-old Omar Lawrence, of East Raymond Street, and the front-seat passenger, 19-year-old Shamar Williams, of East Harold Street, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
