Four months after a pregnant mother and her three children lost their lives when their vehicle fell off the McTeer Bridge, police say two people have been charged with their deaths.Port Royal Police announced Friday the arrests of two men, charged with 5 counts each of Reckless Vehicular Homicide in connection to the Sept. 19, 2020 incident.Authorities say Phillip Brendan Roberts, 40, and Terry Shy'kwon Campbell Jr., 19, both of Beaufort, were both at fault and their vehicles collided with each other before spinning out of control, causing a second crash that sent the victims' car into the water.Lashay Tikia Doe, 36, Jashawn Hawkins, 16, Alonzo Houston, 6, and Cameron Perry, 3, all of Burton, perished. A crew from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources helped locate the submerged vehicle and raise it from the water.
