The poll body has removed a senior police officer posted under the protection of Mamta Banerjee.

An official said that the Election Commission (ECI) on Friday removed a senior police officer posted under the protection of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
An ex-cadre ex-cadre officer on the post of Superintendent of Police, Assoc Chakraborty, is believed to have stepped in due to a “security lapse” which resulted in Ms. Banerjee’s leg injury in Nandigram . Month, he said.
